¹⁶ Every ^(A)prudent man acts with knowledge,
But a fool spreads out folly.
¹⁷ A wicked messenger falls into evil,
But ^(B)a faithful envoy brings healing.
¹⁸ Poverty and disgrace come to him who ^(C)neglects ^[a]discipline,
But he who keeps reproof will be honored.
